The Eclipse

This morning the children arrived and school and we got straight into getting excited about the eclipse!  We enjoyed watching some of the BBC coverage as well as enjoying a book Michael brought in about space.  We then went outside with our 'pin hole' viewers and the children were really sensible and sat with their back towards the sun looking at the moon cover the sun through their pin hole viewers!  Hopefully the children enjoyed the experience of being outisde and feeling it get colder and slightly darker!

We then returned inside to see what was happening on the Faroe Islands!

In between doing our spellings and a bit more mental maths practise we created some wonderful pieces of art!
