The class have been documenting their fraction work this week on large posters, they have worked brilliantly with their partners. They have also had chance to work independently with fractions. We will be continuing fraction work next week!
The work sheet photographed has been completed by some children, but it would be useful to have a look at and discuss at home if possible. Finding a third of a number or a shape is more complicated than a half or quarter. The children could use their number facts from the three times table to help them.
If they have completed this sheet already they could look at finding a third of different numbers or bigger shapes.
Any extra investigations at home with fractions would be really helpful for the children!
